Be
Aware
Most Natural Products are not as
Natural as You Would Expect!
We have been shocked at some well known Natural Industry Companies in the
US. On a recent fact finding visit to a leading Natural Foods Retailer, we found
so many products claiming to be "all natural" but contain chemical additives
such as Sodium l. Sulfate, Coco-Methyl-Betain, Parabens, Fluoride and
more, so BE AWARE and read ingredients CAREFULLY.

The above Brands do not use Synthetic Ingredients from China or Any
Other part of the World: You may be aware that most vitamin brands
are made from isolate or synthetic ingredients. It is
estimated that China supplies between 50% and 80% of the world’s synthetic
ingredients for dietary supplements. As such, it would be near impossible to
offer a full line of dietary supplement products with raw materials that do not,
at least in part, originate from China. Many dietary supplements may be "made in
the US" but many of the the raw materials used are made in China. For example
most of the fortified foods Americans consume on a day-to-day basis, such as
enriched breads, protein bars, cereal and drinks contain vitamins and minerals
that originated from China, as they are the main supplier of these ingredients!
No Synthetics at All and No Ingredients from China:
Fortunately the Phytovitamins
Natural Vitamins are 100% synthetic free and made from natural whole foods. With our decision to only use Organic or Wild Crafted plant
based raw materials from Jan 2006 we have not / and will not purchased any raw materials that
have originated from China.
We do Source from Around the World:
Many herbs and plant based ingredients are
grown in the United States, but not all herbs can be grown in the US. For this
reason we do use herbs and foods that may originate from other countries such as Europe (Chamomile), Eastern Europe (Lavender),
Egypt (Henna), South Africa (Hoodia), India (Guggul Gum), Canada (Wild Rice)
once again only selecting Organic or Wild Crafted regardless of the origin,
ensure pollutant free quality.
These are some of the thousands of Chemical Additives used in cosmetics &
Personal Care Products, that we think you should avoid!
ACETONE On EPA, RCRA, CERCLA Hazardous Waste lists. "Inhalation can cause
dryness of the mouth and throat; dizziness, nausea, incoordination, slurred
speech, drowsiness, and, in severe exposures, coma." "Acts primarily as a
central nervous system (CNS) depressant." [ ACETONE (Immediately Dangerous To
Life or Health Concentrations (IDLHs) and Acetone: ATSDR Fact Sheet ]
BENZALDEHYDE Narcotic. Sensitizer. "Local anesthetic, CNS depressant"
"irritation to the mouth, throat, eyes, skin, lungs, and GI tract causing nausea
and abdominal pain." "May cause kidney damage." "Do not use with contact
lenses."
BENZYL ACETATE Carcinogenic (linked to pancreatic cancer); "From vapors:
irritating to eyes and respiratory passages, exciting cough." "In mice:
hyperaemia of the lungs." "Can be absorbed through the skin causing systemic
effects." "Do not flush to sewer."
BENZYL ALCOHOL: "Irritating to the upper respiratory tract" "headache, nausea,
vomiting, dizziness, drop in blood pressure, CNS depression, and death in severe
cases due to respiratory failure."
[International Chemical Safety Cards]
ETHANOL: On EPA Hazardous Waste list; symptons:" fatigue; irritating to eyes and
upper respiratory tract even in low concentrations..." "Inhalation of ethanol
vapors can have effects similar to those characteristic of ingestion. These
include an initial stimulatory effect followed by drowsiness, impaired vision,
ataxia, stupor..."
ETHYL ACETATE: Narcotic. On EPA Hazardous Waste list; " irritating to the eyes
and respiratory tract" "may cause headache and narcosis (stupor)" "defatting
effect on skin and may cause drying and cracking" "may cause anemia with
leukocytosis and damage to liver and kidneys" "Wash thoroughly after handling."
LIMONENE 1: Carcinogenic. "Prevent its contact with skin or eyes because it is
an irritant and sensitizer." "Always wash thoroughly after using this material
and before eating, drinking, ...applying cosmetics. Do not inhale limonene
vapor." [The limonene molecule (C10H16) exists in two forms that are mirror
images of each other. Ozone and Limonene in Indoor Air:
LINALOOL: Narcotic. "respiratory disturbances" "Attracts bees." "In animal
tests: ataxic gait, reduced spontaneous motor activity and depression ...
development of respiratory disturbances leading to death." "depressed frog-heart
activity."
METHYLENE CHLORIDE 2. :Banned by
the FDA in 1988! No enforcement possible due to trade secret laws protecting
chemical fragrance industry. On EPA, RCRA, CERCLA Hazardous Waste lists.
"Carcinogenic" "Absorbed, stored in body fat, it metabolizes to carbon
monoxide, reducing oxygen-carrying capacity of the blood." "Headache, giddiness,
stupor, irritability, fatigue, tingling in the limbs." Causes CNS disorder.[Methylene Chloride (IDLHs) a-PINENE: Sensitizer (damaging to the immune
system).
g-TERPINENE:
"Causes asthma and CNS disorders."
a-TERPINEOL: "highly irritating to mucous
membranes" "Aspiration into the lungs can produce pneumonitis or even fatal
edema." Can also cause "excitement, ataxia (loss of muscular coordination),
hypothermia, CNS and respiratory depression, and headache." "Prevent repeated or
prolonged skin contact."
